Where the Rhine and Moselle flow together
From the Old Town it is only a short distance to the Moselle promenade, which leads directly to the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. There you will find the Deutsches Eck with the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument - one of the city's landmarks. If you walk further along the Rhine promenades, your gaze falls on the mighty Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which towers 118 metres above the Rhine. A gondola ride across the river is a spectacular way to reach the Prussian fortress: The panoramic view of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and over Koblenz never fails to impress the city's residents and guests.

The traditional and modern wine culture can be felt everywhere in the city: whether on a wine experience tour through the city, a wine tasting in a wine tavern or on a "Wine City Walking Tour" - everyone is guaranteed to discover their own love of wine here! The cultural landscape along the Moselle is also particularly impressive, characterised by the steep, terraced vineyards.
