Old town magic and wine enjoyment Koblenz is a city of many facets. Recreation, culinary delights, nature and culture combine with a very special attitude to life - everyone will find their favourite place here. Feel the special magic of the old town Framed by seven beautiful squares, picturesque, winding alleys and historic buildings, the Old Town is a must-see on a city break. Here, Koblenzers* and guests of the city enjoy the sun's rays in the outdoor areas of numerous cafés, bars and restaurants and linger comfortably in the heart of the city. If you want to learn more about the history of the city, we recommend the guided tour "Romantic Old Town". Where the Rhine and Moselle flow together From the Old Town it is only a short distance to the Moselle promenade, which leads directly to the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. There you will find the Deutsches Eck with the Kaiser Wilhelm Monument - one of the city's landmarks. If you walk further along the Rhine promenades, your gaze falls on the mighty Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which towers 118 metres above the Rhine. A gondola ride across the river is a spectacular way to reach the Prussian fortress: The panoramic view of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley and over Koblenz never fails to impress the city's residents and guests. Enjoying wine in the wine city of Koblenz The traditional and modern wine culture can be felt everywhere in the city: whether on a wine experience tour through the city, a wine tasting in a wine tavern or on a "Wine City Walking Tour" - everyone is guaranteed to discover their own love of wine here! The cultural landscape along the Moselle is also particularly impressive, characterised by the steep, terraced vineyards.
The organizers recommend accommodation with the hotels listed below which are close to the premises of the University Koblenz where the conference will take place. They all have very good client reviews and can be booked directly or through Booking.com
